Peaceful Cottage

Our homeowner’s desire was for a cottage style home, filled with light and natural finishes that connected to the site. To achieve this cottage feel, the roof system was framed onsite by our team giving each second-floor room the sloped ceilings cottages are known for. Built-ins, custom cabinets and a double trundle bed built-in were all added to continue the cottage style theme. Materials were selected with location in mind - stones quarried in Michigan, white oak, limestone quarried in nearby Indiana, natural stone counters and floor tiles, colors with warm undertones – all were selected to connect the home to the ground it sits within.
